JANES WARDROBE LONDON - COSTUMES
ABOUT ME
Personal Profile
I graduated from a costume interpretation course at London College of Fashion over 20 years ago and have since primarily worked as a Costume Supervisor at Madame Tussauds in London. I have experience in all aspects of costume production from alterations to pattern cutting and making, as well as budget management. I maintain excellent quality control from using my understanding of construction terms and their application, and by sourcing the correct fabrics and clothing. I have a fantastic eye for detail from my years working in an attraction where you can get close to the costumes and accessories. Using original reference to guide me to get the most accurate image whether it is for the attraction or for PR used to promote the attraction in photo or on screen.
I have worked for a wide range of companies providing costumes for film, theatre and television working on productions for Shakespeare’s Globe, Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Lion King at the Lycium, The Royal Opera House and Joseph at the London Paladium.
I pride myself on being a versatile and fast worker and consider myself both resourceful and adaptable. I regularly attend training courses to ensure I am up to date with my skills.
